Walmart sucks for getting tires!

Letter to Walmart:

Apparently the Walmart in Lawrenceburg, TN had rather me drive on an unsafe tire than to put a tire on that’s not the EXACT same size tire. The tire I suggested actually was an option on my car and is the exact same diameter I have on my car just a little wider by 10mm is all. My tire has a huge gash in it and I point blank asked the guy if he had rather me drive on that tire than to sell me something that I know fits my car. He gave me some crap about Walmart being sued over a bad transmission. My car is a Camaro and I was willing to buy all 4 tires if I needed to. I had to drive off with a very bad tire with no help from anyone at the Walmart in Lawrenceburg, TN. I will be taking it to an actual tire business and getting the tire I suggested Walmart could put on in the first place. The local tire business has no problem putting on the tire I suggested because they aren’t complete idiots like the people working at the Walmart here. I was 30 miles from home and noticed the problem after all other actual tire places here in town had closed for the day. I can’t believe what a pathetic excuse of a tire center Walmart has here in town. I will never go there again because of this. Please get someone that knows what they are doing to run your tire centers or shut them down. They are a complete disgrace!!!

For some specifics on this. I have a 94 Z28 Convertible (6spd). My car has 235/55/R16 on it which they were out of but the guy wouldn’t even look for anything else like the other FACTORY option for my car which was a 245/50/R16. Heck even a 225/60/R16 would have got me home and would have been just fine with me as I have two other cars I could use that tire on. But no all I get is some BS story about they had to replace a transmission because someone put the wrong tires on a car. Where do they get these idiots from is what I want to know? To make matters worse this was a front tire. Also I wasn’t asking them to put on just one. I was willing to buy all 4 new ones if I had to. I would have rather had 245/50/R16 on it anyway and that is what I’m getting from an actual tire place. A tire place that understands how to properly size tires and what tires can and will go on what cars.

Who came up with a tire policy that turns someone away with a tire like this? I was so pissed I just drove away not able to see straight I was so mad. Now that I’ve calmed down and think back on it they didn’t even offer to do anything like put the spare tire on or even order me the tire(s) I needed or anything. They just said sorry and went inside. I didn’t drive it far (I wasn’t going to leave it at Walmart) and had to leave it over night 30 miles from home which I was none to happy about.

I do like my wife’s post on Facebook:

This is what Walmart let my husband leave on last night. They didn’t have the tire size on his car in stock and wouldn’t replace it with another tire that the manufacturer offered with the car (the difference? 10mm in width). He even said he’d buy all four tires. They claim it’s because of a past lawsuit. I think it’s because, instead of hiring people who know what they are doing or properly training the ones they have, they have Joe Blow who used to gather carts in the parking lot changing tires. How would they have felt if I had sued them because he was in a wreck on the way home after they REFUSED him service? It’s not like his was a crazy request and it’s not like it was something they couldn’t have checked if they had taken 5 minutes and had a little common sense. Thank you Walmart for trying to kill my husband last night, luckily I was able to go pick him up (30 miles from home at 7:00pm) and today we got the car to a REAL tire center.
